Companion is a 15-minute fiction film exploring ageing, mortality, care, and family ties.

The film centres on a restrained encounter between two women, where questions of presence, memory, guilt, and reconciliation remain unresolved. Moving between everyday realism and a more symbolic register, Companion approaches death through gestures, silence, and the atmosphere between people.

The work is presented in Taidevaltakunta ’26, a contemporary art biennial produced by Tampere Art Museum.

The film is supported by the Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) and AVEK – The Promotion Centre for Audiovisual Culture.
