Trailer

An elderly woman lives alone in a rural house and repeatedly tries to reach someone by phone. When a woman she does not know appears in the house, the relationship she has been avoiding can no longer be kept at a distance. The visitor's identity remains uncertain.

Companion is a short fiction film about mortality, denial, and family ties left unresolved. In Finnish, saattaja is someone who accompanies another person, also at the end of life.
