Trailer
For Full Audience follows an amateur theatre group in a small rural town as they rehearse a new production directed by Rosaliina Paavilainen. Paavilainen appears in the documentary leading the rehearsals, making the film from within the process rather than observing it from outside. The film moves through preparation, repetition, disagreement, humour, and the practical problems involved in bringing the performance to the stage.
The participants are united by a desire to perform, but their different ambitions and expectations continually reshape the group. The film pays particular attention to their need to be seen and taken seriously, both by one another and by the audience they hope to reach. Through this small theatre community, the documentary considers what collective artistic work can offer in a place where cultural resources are limited: recognition, belonging, and a temporary space outside everyday routines.
