“It was about power. For me, it was a way of taking that power back. Secretly.”

Orbit brings together the voices of women of different ages speaking about infidelity and its consequences. Rather than illustrating their accounts, the film’s black-and-white images remain close to the surfaces of the body. Skin, veins, folds, and hair become unfamiliar landscapes as the camera moves between recognition and abstraction.

Separating the speakers’ voices from conventional portraits allows their accounts to remain contradictory and unresolved. The film considers how betrayal is remembered, explained, and carried within intimate relationships, without casting the women in fixed roles as either victims or perpetrators.
